Medium-Density through Mixed-Use PUDs
Planned Unit Developments (PUD) can provide a mixture of uses within medium-density residential development projects. Providing residents the opportunity to walk or bike to local businesses can facilitate a reduction in vehicular trips throughout the region. Local jurisdictions are encouraged to revise their ordinances to allow for the creation of appropriately scaled mixed uses within residential areas, and neighborhood centers in existing subdivisions.
